Hello. Does anyone know if you can take a sure grip out of a 7-1/4 1973 roadrunner and put into a 1969 dart open 7-1/4 and use my small bolt axles. Side gears the same spline ?

A 73 RR would of had an 8.25 (if 318 automatic) or an 8 3/4 rear with other combos most likely.

This is definitely a 7-1/4. Guy said it was out of a 73 with a 318. I will have to open up to make sure it is a sure grip. My 7-1/4 is starting to growl on take off. I just seen this on a local add . Thought if I was going to fix I would put the guys from sure grip. Supposed has same gear ratio. Just wondering if possible

More than likely it's out of a A body. Also unless someone installed that SG, I doubt it is a SG.

Well it’s only a few miles away. I will measure spring perches and pull off cover. Check ratio. It would be perfect if it is from an A-body. Thanks for the info.
