7 1/4 Gear Interchange?

I'v been searching and cant find an answer does anyone know if the gears in a 65 7 1/4 with small bolt pattern will swap with a 75 7 1/4 with large bolt pattern I only want to swap the gears (ring & pinion)

It is my understanding that all years of 7 1/4 are interchangble as far a ring and pinions are concerned.
