I got a 7 1/4 rear on my Dart which I change the leaking pinion seal on. Followed the directions in the service manual, "pinging" with a spring punch alignment marks where the pinion bolt and nut could be realigned. Replaced the seal, reset the nut to the mark, plus 1/8th of a turn per the manual. I also drained the case and replaced the gasket and refilled the case with 80W-90 oil and an additive to help quiet the gears in limited slip differentials. I also replaced the u-joint while I was down there. Now, the problem.

When I accelerate everything is good, but when I let off the pedal, there's a felt drag and it sounds like I'm rock tumbling or dragging a boat anchor behind me. At low speeds, no sound, but anything over 25 and it's all you can hear WHEN YOU LET OFF THE PEDAL.

Under acceleration, quiet.
Turning, quiet.
Shifting gears, quiet.

Removed the wheel and drum from both sides and spun the axels, nothing.
Turned the wheels by spinning the driveshaft, nothing.
When I had the cover off, it all looked good, no missing teeth or metal in the fluid. Everything turns freely and it's full of fluid.

It didn't do this before I started, so what did I do?
