7-1/4 Ring and pinion

Working on yanking these from a 4x4 Dakota today from the front diff, the ration is 3.90:1, not sure if anybody would want 3.90's for their 7-1/4 but I figured I'd post them here before they go to the scrap yard.

It's yours with or without the carrier (your choice!) for $40 plus shipping from 46511

These would fit a 7 1/4" rear? I did not know that...

the front diff on the early daks is a 7-1/4 and as far as i know it will fit solid axles from an a body rear axle, but this is in an early (1989) dakota so I'm not sure if the 91-later dakotas have the same front axle or not.

I would be interested if you/I could verify that it will fit an early A 7 1/4 rearend. Thanks. Dennis

I do have an A body one but the car would be fun to get lifted and dangerous to get under, but I have another Dakota that has a 7-1/4 that is probably the same setup just wider and let you guys know!

Have we verified if they will actually fit an early A body 7 1/4 rear ?
