7.25 gear oil change

i need to change the oil in the differential, can anyone tell me
what socket i need for the plug?

The fill plug on the back of the cover? It should be a square 3/8" or 1/2" socket extention, shouldn't it? It'll look like an 8 point situation, but a square will fit. That's how the one in my 70 is, anyway.

You'll need to pull the cover to drain it, clean it all up well, and use a gasket and sealer on the cover, and refill through the hole.

it looks like a star plug, havent tried whether a 3/8s or 1/2 would fit it yet
just dont want to strip it out.
I defintiely want to get in there and clean it up as i dont think it has ever been done
