Hmm... $49K for this hacked-up POS.

$40K for the NEW Challenger, mark-up be damned.

Like I posted another time, me & some friends did a 4X4 conversion on a `71 Z-28 back in the 80's. They were just "old cars" back then. It's a shame to see what happened to some of what's now considered collectable cars.

That's almost as ugly as the Pacer with a '72 Grand Torino front clip that I saw running around once. Asked the guy about it at a light and was aghast to hear he had used a '76 Power Wagon chassis. Had to give him points for getting that much right.

That's not officially a DONK really, just a poor old Challenger sitting on a Ramcharger frame. Sad but DONK's are much, much worse than that:

:(

this guy must be my long lost uncle.when i was in my teens he had a beutifull 79 ram club cab, lifted 40s, 440 built. he probably had 10large in the engine and drivetrain.one day he told me he was going to do the paint.much to my dissmay when he came by three weeks later,...... HE PAINTED IT WITH A ROLLER AND BRUSH!!!!.IT LOOKED GREAT FROM 20FT AWAY BUT WOW UP CLOSE WAS A SIN.i bought the truck a year later for 1000 bucks and still have it.i had to use aircraft stripper to get the rustoleum off.took the 12 inch lift out and i love it.i use it to pull chebbys and fords out when the snow gets bad here.

That's awesome. I would love to have that up here in Colorado. I would be the only guy at the rock crawling events going up in a challenger. Blow the doors off all those trucks!!
Donkers usually refers to the size of the rim instead ot eh size of the tire. Typically donkers start around 25 inch rims and go to I think I have seen up to 40 inch rims. Yes rims not tires.

Who does these kind of things... there are so many rustungs and GMs that just ask for this kind of abuse, this is definitely sad!!

Sorry, someone here just "hipped" me to that term recently when I posted a pic of another Mopar that had been set up that way. I guess I still have a lot to learn about "Donks" ... or maybe I shouldn't waste my time. ;-)

Don't... they won't be around long enough to worry about. ;)

IMHO, the decimal point is off AT LEAST one place.... and it ain't to the good of the seller! :snakeman:

68-72 Olds cutlass seem to catch a lot of this.:angry7:

.......i've a soft spot for O'smobiles.

Ive seen this challenger at a car show in Fullerton im pretty sure. I was pretty impressed at the age of 14 with this redneck ingenuity....

What a tragic thing to do to a 70 Challenger, my favourite car :angry7:

This was at one of our local shows

'DONK' stands for Donkey, as you look like a total '***' when you do that to a car.
