Hello I am considering selling my 70 Duster and trying to get an idea of what it is worth. I don't want to play games so I want to list it for its real value. It started life as a 318 3 speed on the floor car. It had a complete restoration about 16 years ago. It has been kept in excellent condition. It has a 418 ci small block and is a 4 speed. I will attach some pics. Any and all suggestions are truly appreciated.

Sorry I just realized I put this on the wrong General Discussion Thread.

Why is it wrong? Would not a bunch of us be having a general discussion on what we think it's worth? I'll tell you what she's clean man and I bet she's mean too! How many stacks of of receipts do you have, what do those total up to? I'd guess around 30 or better, but you need the right buyer... however there's no way I'm ever going to be an Authority on pricing these things. There's an old saying it's worth its weight in scrap if it's not numbers matching ( I always thought that was snobby) and worth whatever someone's willing to pay for it! If you're not selling it because you need money quick you'll probably get a good price out of it depending on how you advertise it you want to reach as many people as possible

You're welcome! What gears do you have in that? And after looking at the level of the detail again (because I just skimmed the pictures the first time) looking at the motor (of course the pistol grip 4speed) shifter and the Beautiful interior... I think if you put it in like Hemmings or something like that for $45,000 man you might get something close to that I don't know the thing is gorgeously done though I mean that's a freaking show car man

In other words I'm saying if you shoot kind of high and give someone some satisfaction room to let them beat you up a little bit what do you think she's worth what do you want for her? Isn't that the main thing? Or better yet what is your ROI going to need to be( not like I ever get any, on any of these ), I think I did on one... lol

I would love to get somewhere between 40 and 45.
3.91s. Nice! I guarantee you that thing will Blast Off down the road just as good as it looks! I think she's worth it Sir! You just got to find the right person. You're just going to have to advertise in the proper channels to reach the proper clientele

A mint 71 demon matching numbers 340 barely got 32k bahama yellow at 1 of the major auctions
1969 dart gts 340 4spd ragtop matching numbers barely got 41k
both in the last 7 months
I love dusters but they made gizillions compared to 67 to 69 darts and cuda
25k for a 16 yr old resto non numbers duster is fair imo
beautiful car man

I just sold my factory 318 car sporting a warmed over 360 in excellent condition(the car in my avatar) $24k...

Heck Yeah.
I've got mine listed for 20 right now! I ain't no hurry to sell it, so I really don't care. I entertain some people, when they ask for MORE pictures, and I'll talk to some people, (for a few hours, if they want, usually what happens)....

30 to 35K is probably the top end right now. The car looks very well done, and sounds like it would be a screamer with that HP and gears. I have little doubt that you have more than that in it, but that's reality. I've seen some local ads lately for 318 cars asking 40k plus (CAD), and I just laugh at them. If you have a recent appraisal on it, I would look for about 70% of the appraised value. It's nearlt impossible to give an accurate guesstimate based on a few pictures.

Very articulately put together, and true. At a guesstimate is only that it's just a guess of an estimate it's not an accurate estimate because we don't have enough information to come together with an actual estimate.

I can appreciate all the blood, sweat and tears put into a car as well as the astronomical dollars. But if you’re gonna spend that much it should be put into a more valuable car as in a 340/360 duster. The only car this 318 car is more valuable than is a slant 6 car. I know this is an awesome car but it will never be as valuable as a 340 car. I can’t ever see paying 45K for a 318 car. Kim

Someday though when 340 cars are going for $80,000

Question. Are these pictures current, or when it was restored 16 years ago.
How old are the tires?
Sorry that's two questions.
