hey all, i would like to add an aftermarket tach to the blank center of my rally dash, can anyone recommend a tach that would most resemble my existing factory gauges. I dont want it to look silly, i want it to blend in as to look factory if possible.. thanks for any suggestions.. Rich

hi Redfish, thanks for the reply, i saw that, not bad but i think we can do better

How about this?

MA1525 - 1967-71 Mopar A-Body Rallye In-Dash Tachometer With 0 @ 5 O'Clock

the classic industries tach looks good, ive been reading that they are not very accurate, whos making the factory decal?

I have a nice Auto meter but its so big I have it off to the side and it blocks visibility to the speedo on my Rallye dash:) these cars are a pita when it comes ot gauges, i dont like the look of a tach screed through teh top of the dah or to the bottom of it. its as if these cars look best with the factory guages

I bought the tach sold by Classic industries and when I sent off my rallye gauges for rebuilding to Instrument specialties I sent along the tach I bought to have them check it out and calibrate it if needed and they did not seem impressed with the build quality of the aftermarket tach but it was within calibration specs

Buy the after replacement and apply a factory style decal that are available
I forget what little change was in the later model factory tachs. Most of them were only up to 6K. A decal for that wouldn't work on a aftermarket tach. Scale is different.

Both are available. Besides that how accurate do you think the factory a-body tachs were. Also the aftermarket tachs are not effected by later style high energy ignitions. The later ignitions usually ruin factory tachs.
