70 Mustang Wheels for a Mopar?

My buddy has a great 78 Volare with stock steel wheels at 5 on 4.5".....................He's looking at a set of mags from a Mustang, same size, 1970, and a great set of tires on them.

These are not unilugs.......beautiful though...... 14 X 6.......just what he wants....... Will they fit on the Volare?........Bolt pattern problem? Any problems you guys are aware of?

I told him I thought they were the same pattern, BUT I wasn't sure of any other problems with crossing them over to a Mopar.

I ran my wrinklewalls on a set of Ford rims back in the 70's, and seem to remember that that was an issue.......If I remember, I think we may have ground them out a little..................

I have a set of furd wheels at the house with tires on them, i bought them for the tires. The bolt pattern is the same but like stated above the center hole is where the problem is. the furd center is to small to fit the hub. if you grind about a 1/8 off the side it should fit.

Yes, as stated above, the ID is slightly smaller.
