I just bought a 70 Swinger and am putting in a new dash pad. My biggest problem is the heater control unit looks like it was painted black and they painted over the white letters. They did this on a few other dash components. Can you repaint the letters? I havent been able to find a new heater control until but would appreciate any suggestions.
Also, the dash bezel looks OK but it has some chips and a crack. I was going to try and fix the crack and then paint it the origional colors. Any tips on what type of paint to use and if you have seen anyone paint them and have them turn out OK?
