ok, ive done my research on here about this option. V21, my car doesnt have it, but i think i will do it anyway ! black w/ body color scoops just looks sweet to me ... but.... from what i have read this was never done from the factory. the hood and scoops were always painted the same color, either all black or all body color ?? correct or no ?? there is an orange "all original " '70 340 swinger on ebay right now with the V21 option and the hood is black with body color scoops. supposedly all original paint ... is it possible the cars COULD have came this way ??
 
That car has been repainted. Look at the gas filler tube. Its body color.

Good eye, i didn't even notice that ! Was that a common paint scheme to do back in the day ? My buddies dad bought a '70 340/4spd swinger off a used car lot in yellow and had the same hood and scoop color combo. This was almost 20yrs ago ! Yellow car, black hood, yellow scoops.
