Here's the back ground info. This motor was in a barn find car that I was able to drive home. The previous owner had the car for 20 years and would drive the car occasionally to keep it in running condition. I drove the car home when I bought it. The motor was quiet, didn't smoke and ran very well. I found time a time slip in the glove box that put the car in the high 12's.
I'm restoring the car and planned on just cleaning up this motor and reusing it. When I pulled the intake I found epoxy on the drivers side interior surface of the block. It's been there since before the previous owner, and looks sound, but I'm not putting this motor back in the finished body. It's .030 over and shows some marks towards the lower part of the bores on a few cylinders which surprised me because it didn't smoke even at start up. You can find information posted here about the conversation surrounding the details - What is this and why would it be there?.
So my plans have changed - this car came with the numbers matching motor with a spun main. I'm now going in that direction - which brings me to this ad. The serial number for this motor is - 1B378001. What's included is the short block, 7 qt oil pan, balancer. I'm listing the heads separate. I'm also posting additional items associated with this motor in separate ads as well. Please PM with questions.
I'm asking $250 OBO. I'll help with transfer activities as best I can.
Thanks,
Jeff
