71 360

-
Lets put it this way.I paid 350 for a complete and strong running 79 360 4 bbl.

I paid 500.00 for a 340 short block with forged flat tops +.026 decked was a balanced drag engine with supposed minimum passes. I put rings and bearing and had the crank polished while it was out though!!!!! 3 years ago i bought a complete rebuildable 360 for 100.00, but that deal doesn't come along too often!!!!:pirate:

The block is standard bore 71 360, he will give me 340 rods and assorted parts. I want to make a stroker and these blockes are preferred. I have a 79 360 block. The guy wants $300 for the block and parts. What do you think??:glasses8:

Can you be more specific on what what parts go with it? The oil pan is worth 30.00, timing cover and water pump probably 25.00 etc. The rods are the same for 340 and 360, the 318's were lighter. Probably worth about 20.00 for the 8 of them. Let us knnow exactly what goes with it. timing chain etc?:thumblef:

He's giving block, crank, rods, pistons, timing cover, stock cam & lifters, no oil pan, new set timing chain and gears and extra set floating pin 340 rods. Heads are included, but not worth using. The selling point is the block of that vintage.
