71 72 DODGE DEMON TITLE QUESTION

Could someone anwser a question for me. On the 71 72 demons did the title say dodge dart or dodge demon ?

Hell if I know. Here in New York, cars never had titles until after 1973.

Depends entirely on the state. Here in Maryland it would be Dodge 2S, which is the same as my Charger. Some states note model by name, some don't.

I'll have to look at my title, I forget which state it was registered in when I bought it but I did get a title and bill of sale because it was an out of Texas title.

My avatar (72 Demon) title said the make was "Dodg" and the body style was "2D".

Would depend on how selling dealer filled out the title application . Here in Idaho Titles are generated off of the MSO ( manufacturers statement of origin ) and the title application which is filled out by the business office . Depends how lazy or bright the guy inputting the data is . Back then they did it by hand of course.
