I bought this housing at the beginning of the year and have been working on cleaning and rewelding the crappy factory welds. it was degreased, wire-brushed and submerged in acetone for some days to get all the crap out of the pores out to get clean welds since it was gonna get shortened for an A-body. All of the crappy welds have been replaced by ones made by a stick welder running on 480v. The housing was gonna be used on my car behind a 500hp small block and had been cleaning a lot inside using a multitude of brushes with extensions. the center section housing bolts were removed due to them being cross-threaded by the last owner. the ones on the flanges have been removed gone over with a die and were gonna be powder coated. the spring perches were removed since I wanted to go over that area and make sure there were no cracks or bends. it has some very small surface rust right now since it's been sitting for 4 months.
I have to sell it due to my tuition costs at college being quite high for me to justify building a rear-end right now.
its located in Los Angeles, in the Palos Verdes area. You can pick up or I can take it to the fall fling. I have never shipped an item this large before but if the buyer wants I'm sure I can help arrange to ship and help with it.
Looking for around $220 for it and also have the shock plates (sold) painted and u-plates fully sandblasted but I don't have a price for those yet.
