Glutton for Punishment
I am in the process of recovering the seats in my 71 Dart project and I have a question about recovering the split bench front seat. I am using a cover set from Legendary Interiors and I have seen their YouTube vids on the process. The original seat covers used a plastic cover that fit over the seat back pivot points at the center of the lower seat frame like this.
The new seat cover has a strap that goes over the pivot point instead.
The strap in the new cover seems to be a little short of covering the pivot and at the same time allowing for adequate attachment of the cover to the seat frame. Has anyone here run into this same issue and have any pix of how it turned out when completed? I am somewhat hesitant to start stapling the new cover in place until I am sure that I am doing the right thing. Unfortunately the Legendary vids aren't very detailed in this area. A picture of how yours turned out would be great! Thanks in advance!
