Hi Everyone,

New A body owner here, and I am going thru teh car trying to repair what needs to be repaired. One area that need attention is the instrument cluster. Besides the burnt out dash lights, I have one circuit board with 1 broken pin, 1 missing and 1 about breakaway.

I thought of soldering the broken and almost broken pin, looks like it can be done? Secondly what should I use to replace the missing pin?

Lastly, if I completely botch this, how scare are these circuit boards?

Thanks

http://www.demonivr.com/ You can update to this, helps prevent buned out instruments in th future. You can solder past breaks in the copper backing the cluster.
http://www.geocities.com/pdq340/regulator/index.htm This part is sold in the first link, and another was listed in Mopar Action, so you don't have to build this yourself anymore.
Repair parts can be scavenged from other wiring harnesses, and dash clusters aren't an endangered species....yet.
Unless it's the rallye dash cluster, they aren't exactly cheap anymore.

just send it here and be done with it. http://autoinstruments.com/index.html

they will fix it up like new, and cost isn't too bad. about 110.00 including recalibration. i went round and round with mine and finally gave in and had them fix it. it was worth it! p.s. they use solid state regulators as well...........

Redline guages for the best job.
