I'm trying to determine the correct lower control arm bumper part number for my 71 Duster. My Mopar parts book says the 1970 part number is 2535027 and the 1971 number is 2948716. I have found both of these parts for sale on ebay but the sellers insist that the 2535027 is correct for my 71 A body car and the 2948716 is correct for 71-74 B and E bodies. My duster has factory disc brakes, slant 6, auto trans. Can anyone shed some light on which part number is correct for my car?

I got MOPAR A-Body (62-76) Polyurethane Lower Front Control Arm Bushings 4-205BL.

They are awesome. I recently did all Polyurethane bushings.

BIG difference!

Good luck.

That is the way you do it My71Duster keep your car all original with the correct part numbered factory parts! My experience is the 2535027 is correct for a 71 A-Body also just one of the many times the parts books missed separating model differences then corrected it the next year in the book. If you need any good originals PM me i have a lot of nice used ones

The two bumpers are slightly different in appearance. The one Hemi71x posted is what the Mopar parts book refers to as 2535027, applicable through 1970. That is also what is currently on my car. I always double check part numbers before buying any replacement parts because I can't be sure that what is presently installed on the car is correct. My 1971 Mopar illustrated parts book has been a huge help in keeping the car as 'correct' as possible while using authentic Mopar parts. I think Moparparts is correct when he asserts that the book could be wrong. I suspected this but now I'm glad I asked.
