Hey guy's was just after peoples thoughts on my upcoming project of building a 408 stroker with what cam to run in it as the more I look into it the more confused im getting.

I'm looking at the engine producing around 500hp, still want it to be driven on the highway, however want it to still have plenty of power.

Edelbrock perfomer rpm air gap manifold
edelbrock performer rpm heads
727 TF 2800stall

was thinking scat forged internals.
The rest is open for discussion as im not sure what to run as its my first stroker build. Any help would be a greatly appreciated!!

You probably don't need a forged assembly. But if your like me. I build a forged bottom end that was designed to with stand 8000 RPM. and a top end that turn 5800. Give's you plenty of ROOM, to add more HP and make for a long lasting 408!!!!!

I had Brian a IMM build me a set of RHS head, and pic. or spec. the cam for me to fit my low stall (2800-3000) and high altitude. Pulls hard out of the hole, even at 6600 feet!

The cam is a Hyd Roller, and it makes around 480 HP. If you live at a lot lower elevation, that translates into 500 + hp all day long.

One Note: because of my elevation, it is 12.5 compression ratio Eng!!!!

for 480 HP, i could have done a Cast crank assembly for a lot less money! and it would have lived.
