Just got a set of 714 heads. First off that is the only casting number on head, 714. Not the last three of normal 7 digit casting number. These are from the last non magnum LA 318 engines, had a serpitine belt setup from factory. They are used on a roller cam so the pushrod holes are bigger. I was wondering if the intake runners are restricted Be cause the larger pushrods holes intrude into the intake runners. They have the heart shaped combustion chambers, and have rotators on the exaust valves. Anyone have insights on these heads? Thanks:color:MT

exact same heads as the 302s. Two barrel late 80's 318 heads.

The 302s were a roller cam head as well? I like the potential of the heads, BUT I dont like how the push rods incur into the intake chambers. Thanks.

Yes - roller cam. I'm not sure but I believe they flow as good as any other 318 head. Most claim a performance boost switching from older open chambered heads to the 302/714 closed chamber heads, as do I.
