71Duster:Retractable front seat belt by the door/floor,or just a seat belt strap like which is used for the back seats?

Hello,I am wondering if my front seat belt retract mechanism was cannabilized out of my 71 Duster Twister,equipped with bench seat,and replaced with a rear seat belt strap,or was this a cost cutting,and clever,measure used by Chysler,like pop out rear windows instead of roll down windows.My 69 Dart has the front retract mechanism. Thanks for any info.

I believe 71 came with either. Mine I know came from the factory with just strap type.

I believe the trim level determines whether they came with the retractable receiver or not. My basic interior optioned 71 duster doesn't have the retractable.

Have you got a pic and measurement of the male end of a bucket seat application. I've seen them both ways as well.

That's what mine look like with hounds interior. When was your car built? My original ones say 1971-2 and car was may 71 build

I think April 71 but I would have to check to be sure. Also my engine was blue originally.
