72 225 slant 6 with a 85 904 trans

Will a 85 904 slant 6 trans work with a 72 225 slant 6 engine. Will be going in a 72 dart swinger special

Yes, but use the converter that came with the 85 trans. Either trans might or might not be a lock up.
