Can I buy the 90 degree oil filter adapter for a 340 as an aftermarket part, or do I need to find a good used one? I am missing mine. I will be using TTI headers in my 72 Demon. thanks

You don't need it if you run a shorter filter (Mopar and Wix 51085 both fit).

Yea you can still get new ones. But find a used one on ebay or hear. Will save you some $

Hey Demon 408, I'm thinking about doing away with my 90 degree adapter (1 less thing to leak LOL!) Do you simply screw the filter onto the block or is there a plate of some type that goes between the filter and block?

Thanks,
Pat

northeastmopar - Sorry to hijack your thread brother. :D

Yes there is a plate that you will need. Here's a really nice one with o-ring included: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CTR-22-575/

You will also need the factory fitting to attach that.
It has different threads on each end.
Any junkyard should have a bunch of them.

I should have some of those fittings laying around if you need one. I use the 90' adapters so I have no use for them.
