Hmmm. I had a complete 72 dart front end and these were on the fender extensions

Early built 1972 Darts were being built with left over 1971 parts. I have the same on my 72 Dart.

Not common as mentioned early ones could have had them just like EVERY model year built some went on them. Also many cars end up with different extensions over the years.. I had a 70 that had 72's with it.... I have seen cars painted then they realized they had the wrong extensions...
