Hello i have a 72 340 Demon with a 100% stock rear suspension. Id like to install a set of larger period correct 14 " Goodyear Polyglas tires and widened wheels to fill up the wheelwell E 70-14s are too skinny , how wide can i go and what inside offset do i need for spring and 1/4 panel clearance, thanks TX9 4-spd Demon.

You can put g,s on the rear should not have to widen they will look real nice , think 72 to 74road runner,s ahd g,s when new with 5.5 road wheels .

I run M/T 275-60-15's on the back of mine. My wheels are 8" with a 4" back spacing. I can't go any bigger without modifying something though.

Just for fun, this is how wide an E70-14 is.

I ran 215-70-14 (Same as E70's) and 225-70-14 (Same as G70's) on my Duster with 5.5" steel wheels and I think it looked nice. I'll post a picture for you. I also have a set of Firestones I'm selling if you are interested. (2) E70s and (2) G70s.

245/60R14's rear and 215/70R14's up front on my Duster. I think the backspacing is 4.25" or 4.5" for the 14x7 rallye wheels you can get from Wheel Vintiques. 14x6 are really too narrow for 245/60's.
