72 disc brakes

I have factory disc brakes with the sbp and I want to go to the lbp. Tell me does anyone make a rotor that will fit so that I don't have to do the 73 and up conversion.
Wilwood tried to tell me that my 72 dart never came with disc brakes only drums.
Is the spindle on the 72 disc the same as on the 73 and up disc?

There is a thread here that someone put Mustang rotors with some machining on a 4 piston disc brake car. This way they ended up with the 4.5" bolt pattern and could keep there calipers. '60s Mustangs used the same caliper but had the large bolt pattern.
