sometimes it turns over and starts, sometimes it clicks once, drives me crazy. I can't figure it out

Starter bendix sticking?...maybe needs a new starter. If you have headers, they can cause problems from excessive heat.

Thank you yea I tried to bypass solenoid and still clicking once has to be starter, it's got headers hmm maybe need to put a heat shield on as well replace starter.

Mini starter is a good option if you don't have one. Get one for a '93 Dakota.

AutoZone acts like they don't know what I'm talking about when I asked for a mini starter for a 93 Dodge Dakota but I found this starter the guy says it's a mini starter here's a picture of it do you think it'll work, it's off of a 2000

This is a couple pictures of my Duster the big starter that's on it now that I have to take off I have it jacked up in the picture with the tire off but I have to take the header off because I have no room

Sucks, I hate taking the headers off, but it has to be done.
