I have seen some decent videos on installing the front windshield , but on the back glass not so much , would you recommend using butyl in the gasket and put on frame and then install glass , or no butyl ,,or would you use the rope method no butyl in gasket until after install ?

If the gasket is still live, I use the rope without any sealer. I like to lube it up with liquid soap or gritless GoJo. Makes washing things off easier.

The gasket is new and flexibly and will be warm when I do the job

Have you checked the FSM? They usually have procedures in them for reinstalling glass. I know the windshield installation procedure calls for sealant on the bottom half. Not sure about the rear glass though.
