So I currently have a 72 Plymouth duster with a factory 318 and 727 tranny. I will soon be having a decently good amount of money coming to me and I want to put it in my car. I would like to get a 340 for it and a four speed but I have no idea how much work is put into swapping an automatic for a four speed or even what kind of transmission to pair with that. I wouldn't be doing the work myself, I'd be paying someone to do it.
Also curious about if I would have to switch my rear end any to compensate for the extra power. Hoping to get a built 340 with 300+ horsepower.
