'72 Duster, stripped down on rotisserie, 99% rust free

The guy has all the parts except the k-frame and front suspension, and the rear end. he threw that stuff away! He was going to make a hemi independant coil thingamajig out of it. anyhow, it was a slant 6 gold car. It's completely clean, no rust at all except in one small spot, very very nice clean body.

Is it worth more all stripped and on the rotisserie or worth more when it was together? I'm thinking of buying it. They guy wants $2900 CDN with the homemade rotisserie which is really well made. I'm sure a lot of the parts (which I haven't seen) are in need of replacement but it would be a nice ride when done up with a 318 or 340 or 360 I think.

Right?

I should have taken some photos. I couldn't believe how rust free the shell is. The guy has run out of money and has given up on the project. I'm thinking I'd return it back to a nice original car but a different color with a V8. I'm pretty sure he paid $4000 CDN for it from a local dealer who ships in Arizona cars, but that was when it had a k-frame and brakes and suspension, which is all missing now, but all the work to remove everything must be of some value.

Did you but it yet?
A good rotisserie alone will set you back at least a grand.

Well money is tight with me. I could come up with the asking price, and my buddy is willing to offer his heated garage to work on it, but the money to finish it is a problem for me too. I'm not sure I could finance it. I'm thinking about it every day, all day. It's an addiction I tell ya!

DuH, O.K.
Hey Evil, I've always liked the look of your Swinger, but your new avatar caught my attention a few days ago and I really got quite a chuckle out of it. Good one. :)

hmmm sounds like a good deal to me....and a perfect foundation for an Alter-K-tion front end sinca all the front is missing.......

I happened to be in the neighbourhood of this car today so I drove by, it was still there, on its rotisserie, outside, covered up. I know the guy has to sell it because it's at his place of work and the boss told me it had to go! A little longer and maybe I'll get a better deal....
