Newbie here,

Wanted to say hello. I have restored and love my old dodge truck:

I am less familiar with the A bodies. However, I am considering a 72 scamp for sale locally that is also on Ebay:

In case the link doesn't work the Ebay item # is : 271198443324

The car would be easier to haul the wife and kids in. I have driven the car and it is solid. Paint has problems including a little rust under the vinyl top and chips here and there, it is crackled on front quarter. However, the paint is 40 years old, so what can you expect.

Here is my question. What is a fair price for this car?

Before doing some research I thought this might be a unique "barn find" type car that could be shown at some shows as it is a low milage survivor. However, after surfing the net a few hours it seems that a fair number of these early 70's A-bodies survived in great shape. I'm looking for a $5000 mopar that won't need much and can be driven without hesitation.

As a truck guy, I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions about this vehicle.

Thanks, Stephen

looks to be in real nice shape. I'd say go for it. I wouldn't pay any more though. Fix the little bit that needs attention now and enjoy!

Very clean. I think the price is toward the high end for a slant, but may be worth it. Then again, how many low mile cars come along . I would check the floor pans for any rust, especially the drivers side, considering the discoloration on the carpet?

It looks nice in the pics, but could be hiding some boo boos.
$4500 might be high if there are rust issues.

Man that truck is NICE!!! I thought the car looked pretty nice till I clicked on the truck...
