727 flex plate?

Why do you want to replace the converter? Do you have a question about drilling out the flexplate holes to match the converter bolts?

I don't want to replace if I can get a flex plate that will work with it. I will open up 5/16 holes if that is all it needs

You have the wrong bolt pattern mopar flex plate to begin with.

So the only difference is whether 10 or 11 inch converter size?

Are you even sure it's a 318 block?

Look above the starter on the block casting to see if it says "360".

Converter/flexplate update: I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new TC and flex plate combo. Been in talks with John Cope and will be ordering the set tomorrow. Probably the PTC 9.5" converter with 4500 stall. Internally balanced setup.
