Hello i am asking this because my rebuild book didnt go into it too well.

when setting the bands torque the adjuster nut is an odd size square deal is that supposed to be a special tool?

if people have used other things to set that tension can you let me know? i was considering using a "crows foot" wrench so that i could use my torque wrench however i wasnt qable to find a crows foot that small today

the tool you are looking for is a 5/16 square socket, I know Snap - On sell them and I am sure you can get the from other tool manufacturers as well

Forget the 72 inch pounds the book reccomends before you turn it out the specific number of turns. I have for over 35 years used a set of pliers to snug it down, then turn it out the amount of turns specified.
