Hello All,

Just removed the 727 from the Duster to get it checked out before putting in the new 408. I know there is a DIY solution to keep the tranny fluid from leaking out the rear spline assembly but I don't recall what it is. Can anyone refresh my memory or explain how you've done it in the past?

In a pinch I have used a spray boom cap from a VHT paint can.
it fits over the splines tight and fits tight over the boot if it has one then tape the **** out of it and it wont leak for quite a while.

Had to pull my Borg Warner t5 from my sanoma in Iowa while moving from IL to co. Old yolk works as long as you don't tip it downwards

I have had good luck with a rubber glove and tape around the tail housing, it will fill up but you can just snip one of the fingers and it becomes a makeshift spout for draining
