I am replacing the tailshaft(column shift) on my 727 so that I can mount the shifter linkage for a floor shifter. I am having trouble spreading the clip to remove the tailshaft. The opening for the clip is on the side of the tailshaft, the bolts are removed so I can spin the tailshaft but not enough to get a good grab. Any ideas??
