How can I adjust the first to second shift point?
It's fine around town, but under WOT it shifts way too fast.....

Well, I thought it was. ...!Assuming your kick down is in place, have you adjusted it correctly?
Jeff, your kickdown lever on your transmission needs to be pushed all the way back when your accelerator is wide open.Well, I thought it was. ...!
So I'd adjust that via the kickdown adjustment?
It's actually a cable. ...

I thought I had it that way...maybe that sucker slipped.....Jeff, your kickdown lever on your transmission needs to be pushed all the way back when your accelerator is wide open.
The 1-2 is supposed to be at like 15 mph , which seems fast but if you search around here on FABO you will find a tip from Trailbeast on how to move your shift points without messing up your TPL adjustment , I moved my shift points from 15mph 1-2 and 30-35mph for the 2-3 to 25mph 1-2 and @ 45mph for the 2-3 . I also drove my car cross country 5000 km each way like that with no issues .
PS all it takes is a spring on the carb linkage .
Found it.....reading it now - thanks!go to the trans forum then search his name and Shift Points it is down near the bottom of the first page titled raising shift points
