727A Odd noise

I recently got new hearing aids and happened to go for a ride and noticed a noise coming from the transmission. It is a whining with a little rattling noise just before it shifts gears. after the shift it is gone. slightly before and at the shift point is the only time it is noticed. Is this anything to worry about?

Get another opinion in person from someone you trust that does not need hearing aids. This is not making fun either. The hearing aid is an amplifier and some can really pick up on normal noises. If nobody else can hear it, there is likely nothing wrong.
The flip side of that is it can sometimes pickup electrical noise from spark plugs, secondary wires, and ignition coils before a problem is actually felt.

If you could post a short video of the noise, would be a great help.

By your description, might the heat-riser on the passenger side exhaust manifold, down where the manifold joins the pipe.
There's a flapper valve in there, if operational, that'll rattle under conditions you describe.
