please don't laugh, but just to make sure i under stand what you need is the part that slips into the tail shaft of the 727 tranny and the u-joints go into ? and how can i check the part for the number that you listed? I think i might have what you need. i know it's the large u-joints

Hi AJ,
You are right it is the part that slips into the transmission ahead of the driveshaft and is connected to the driveshaft with the u-joint. I believe the there are 29 splines to slip in the 727 or A-833 and the u-joint will measure right around 3 5/8" from cap to cap (7290). The little one measures 3" cap to cap.(7260)

well mancini has them, Cass Elick has them, and my local driveshaft shop has them. $86.00 to $90.00. I'm looking for something used and cheaper.
