Junk yards are full of Diplomats, New Yorkers and 5th Avenues. All the disk brakes you could ever want and cheaper than the 73-76 A body stuff. I just got my disc brake/LBP set up for 75.00 and picked up UCA from Just suspension for 199. After pricing the new components (calipers, rotors, pads, lines.ect) it seems the that newer stuff is considerably cheaper than the A body stuff as well. Most importantly just about any junk yard probably has one of these cars in it. Just my humble opinion, good luck.

is the dip spindle the same?

They are usable...you still have to use the 73-76 dart style upper control arm and large ball joints.....the adapter on the spindle determines type and size of brake
