I am woking on the body work on my Dart, and the seam on the bottom left of the windshield was cracked, so I melted out the lead, and cleaned it up. What's the dest method to repair this seam? Fill it with all metal, or reinforced body filler, or weld a patch over it?

Or do I have to lear to re-Lead the seam?

Thanks for the input.

I am leaning towards All Metal, but Advanced Auto Parts here in town has Evercoat Reinforced filler that has short strand reinforcing fibers. Just concerned about the thickness of the final material.

Repair method depends on what cracked. Just the lead or the actual seam itself? If it's the seam, I'd weld it. If just the lead either re-lead fill or reinforced filler. Myself I'd weld it no matter what then use filler. Lead is good, if you can do it well and neutralize the flux properly or you will have rust in no time!
