Hey all, while I continue to dig through electrical issues, I figured it's about time to replace the spark plugs as I haven't done it since the previous owner had it, it sounds like a cylinder or two might not be idling correctly as it sputters rhythmically and had a little rumble at idle. I have the new spark plugs that was recommended in the forums on the slant six forum, I'm tracking that this engine had the plug sleeves so I need to remove the crush washer on the plug before I install it.
The manual has surprisingly little about the plugs, so I figured I'd ask my questions here.
Do I need any kind of sealant or gaskets for the plug sleeves? I've seen them installed with and without, and of course is the sleeve even supposed to come out when I replace the plugs or can I remove it from the sleeve and leave it in the car?
