i just bought a 73 dodge RV with a 440 motor and i'm trying to figure out what transmission i have. it has a pan like a 727 but is shorter than a 904. help please

on the top of the bell housing on both sides it has a 103-6. any ideas?

It is a 727 with the short RV output shaft and extension housing. To use it in a car you need to completely disassemble it and install a car/light truck output shaft and extension housing. It's a great heavy duty trans to start with.
