Got a 73 duster manual steering and the steering coupler needs to be rebuilt. Is there anything out there that is better than the original. This looks like its going to be a pain in the butt.
TIA for the suggestions.

Easier than you think I have done a bunch of them. Getting the cover to stay on is the hardest thing. The little tangs bend too easy in my opinion.

If this looks like a pain in the butt, you might want to consider taking up stamp collecting instead... Just kidding- and welcome to the site! :welcome:
Couldn't be easier, and probably less work than replacing it with a u-joint.
Go to the Articles section, and read this: Steering Coupler Rebuild "How To" .
By the way, nice looking car!

Agree. There is a special tool for installing the cover, but they can be installed (A trick to it?) with-out it. I also think the aftermarket covers are not as thick/strong of material as the originals.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the input. Looks like the easiest way is to pull the whole column out and just use that rebuild kit.
Thanks again!
