74 and later To 73 and earlier Bumper Conversion

Hey guys I am planning on buying this week a 74 Duster, but hate the funky safety bumpers. Do I get 73 brackets and 73 bumpers to solve the problem or just 73 brackets and can still use 74 bumpers?
