I am pulling this bumper off the other day and thinking, "Man, what if it weighs a whole lot more than it looks?" YEP! Sure does. So I got the old scale and weighed it:
85lbs without bolts or fillers! Wow what a pig. It lives out by the shed now. Should get enough for the scrap to buy lunch LOL.

So the plan is a FIBERGLASS one that I will make brackets for. I am also going to section it so it mounts almost flush to the sides of the quarter panels. AAR glass a good choice?

Just something to consider.....the rear bumper weight is where it will do the most good, especially if you have the added weight of a big block up front.

Orlando has been hooking good ever since Ozzy took over. But the extra weight out back could be a little extra insurance, especially during the hot summer days. Being more consistent wins more than being faster.
