Anyone have a '74 Body Service Manual or something that they could look at and tell me how the shoulder strap mount is supposed to be bolted to the ceiling?
Mine were mounted with a shoulder bolt and a spacer, with the spacer outside of the belt. Seems like the spacer should have gone between the belt mount and the body of the car, but when I put it together like that, it doesn't seem right, it's pretty far away from the headliner and looks bad.
Is it supposed to have a bolt with a shorter shoulder and no spacer? What's it supposed to look like?
There is a '74 in a yard locally, but I don't have the time to go look until this weekend and I'm not sure it will be around that long. I grabbed some spacers off a '75, but I don't think it was the same mounting setup so I really would like to see what a '74 mount is supposed to look like.
