74 transmission kickdown

I have a 72 swinger with a 727 out of a 73 or 74. There is no adjuster on the ball shaft for kickdown but a slide adjuster on the transmission arm on transmission. Does anyone know how to adjust kickdown on this transmission?

with the car in park, wheels blocked and front elevated get under and loosen the bolt in the slide adjuster, push all the way forward allowing the rod to slide through the adjuster and tighten

Thanks. When did they go to this kickdown linkage, 73 or 74?

Is the top rod adjusted the same as 72', back of linkage just touching carb shaft?

74 A-Body went to that where the adjustment is done down at the trans rod
