it could be any number of axles under there, stock they came with two or three different ones (dana 35, dana 44, 8.25) and because jeep, it could have anything shoved under there in the last 36 years.
positive ID and pictures will help.
but, from the jump, you're going to have to cut off the shock mounts and while the perches are close 43.5" i don't think the angle of the dangle is right, so you'll need to weld on fresh ones in the right position at the right angle.
stock width on a 35 is 58.5 and i *think* a 44 is 60? so i'd guess that the 8.25 is in that neighborhood. stock a-body width is 56-3/4~57-1/8, so you're either narrowing that axle or running wheels that benefit the wider axle.
then you'll just need the correct u-bolts for the size of the axle tube, and some shock plates, cut the drive shaft for the difference in length, figure out the u-joint (may need a combo there), suss out the e-brake cables and you're in business.
