Phily
3XL, loud pipes, loud music, loud weed
So I have an early 76 dodge dart. Door says it was born 9/75. Which explains why it still has drum brakes. They started going all disc Jan of 76.
Got the car for doing mechanical work for a friend. He didn't want to let it go but wanted to see it on the street again. He has had the car since he was 17 and is 33 now. I decided to give it to my fiance as a bday present.
Started off replacing the rubber fuel lines to get it started. Then repcame the front rubber brake lines and the metal ones from the rubber to the caliper.
Got it some new white walls
Rebuilt the car as best I could but will be replacing it with a double barrel in the future.
New distributor/vacuum diaphram, cap, wires, plugs
New pads hardware waiting for calipers and the spring kits as the pass brake doesn't work like it should braking at 65.
New inner and outer tie Rod ends
New power steering gear box and pivot arm. Waiting to pull the motor to replace the other arm.
New upper and lower ball joints
Need to finish putting in New upper control arm bushings
New shocks up front and coil over shocks in rear
New heater core
New belts and hoses
New battery
3 inch exhaust with flowmasters 40 series muffler
Currently tearing it apart and gonna clean the head and rebuild the head over the next few days as tomo is thanksgiving.
Once the head is out I'm hoping the cylinders are in good condition cause I really can't afford the machine work. I have New piston rings to put in if it pans out.
I'm taking this is a mechanical tablet and not hydraulic. A lot of the lifters feel loos and have a lot of play. I should just order New ones and a camshaft to boot. See will see in the next few days
Was thinking of lowering the front end a Lil Idk yet.
Still need to hit the dash up and get everything reading and working right
