8 1/4 brake interchange

I have an 8 1/4 rear out of a Volare, will the brake parts(backing plates, drums, etc.) interchange with an a-body 8 1/4? What about the gears? If so all I would need would be the axles and housing correct?

if the drums are the same size, everything will switch over including the backing plates. The gears should work as long as the gear carriers are the same, there were several different carriers used in the 8 1/4's and (supposedly) some 8 1/4's used 7 1/4 ring gears so obviously those wont swap.
